Want to Buy a Home ONE Day?
“Homeowner” is a responsibility you would like to take on ONE day, but not today. Does that mean you do not need to prepare?
NO! Preparation can mean the difference between the home you love and the home you had to settle on. It is never too soon to prepare for your goal of homeownership. Financially, you should always think in terms of 5 year increments and plan accordingly.
Credit:
Renters AND potential homeowners must keep an eye on their credit. You are entitled to one FREE credit report a year and we have all heard the commercials on credit maintenance sites. You should review your report for errors EVERY year and have them removed. If you do this and keep up with your debts, you could be in a good position when you are ready to buy.
NO credit vs. BAD credit. They are really one in the same. Be careful with paying off accounts and closing them. My team of professionals can help you with those decisions and put you on a path to a really good credit score and possibly more money. Whether you choose to use that extra money will be your decision, but since when is having MORE options a problem?!
How Do I Start the Process:
Many feel that they have time before they are ready to buy and they start looking at home websites and HGTV. The problem is that many find exactly what they are looking for at a price that would be perfect. The problem? They have “put the cart before the horse” and now they are racing the clock and praying no one grabs their property.
STEP AWAY FROM THE INTERNET! With a quick phone call you can determine where you are financially. My team of experts will let you know if you are ready now or if there is anything you can do to get a better deal on your loan. There is NO obligation and NO fee for this service!
When Should I Start the Process:
The earlier the better! 3-6 months before you are ready to buy is ideal. If you know you have serious problems such as a Divorce, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure or Short Sale you should start sooner. My team can work with these serious issues and provide you options that many lenders cannot. Also, they can lay out a plan for you to the best possible outcome in a shorter amount of time.
How Much is This Going to Cost Me?:
As a Buyer, representation by YOUR preferred Realtor is of no cost to you. Yes, FREE! The Seller has already agreed to the cost of selling their home, including any commissions to be paid.
Yes, the Seller has already agreed to pay for you to have YOUR Realtor represent YOUR interests. Much like a lawyer in a court room; would you use the other guy’s lawyer just for convenience?!
As for Lenders, all Lender fees are paid when you finalize a loan. Reviewing your credit and laying out a plan is of no cost to you. It actually helps the Lender to prepare you so that they know you will get the loan when you are ready.
